On Thursday, eBay discovered a glitch in their system that caused some buyers and sellers to unintentionally become suspended from the website.
This suspension caused a lot of anger and confusion among the users who were affected, as they could not figure out why their account was suddenly canceled.
Some buyers were not able to purchase items they had already placed bids on, and some sellers were not able to receive payments for the items they were selling.
eBay has since resolved the issue and all users who were affected have been reinstated. They apologized for any inconvenience this may have caused, but many people are still not happy with eBay.
Some feel that they should have been more careful before suspending so many people’s accounts at once, and others believe that the company should have been more open about what was going on.
eBay released a statement on Friday explaining how this mistake was made.
The company said, “A small number of our users were inadvertently blocked as we worked to rectify an issue with one of our automated accounts suspensions systems. We’ve resolved the issue and those users are now back to using eBay. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
