Final Fantasy XIV is currently dealing with severe server congestion issues on the Endwalker server. In order to help alleviate the issue, Square Enix has announced that they will be providing free game time to all players on the server.
According to a statement released by Square Enix,
“Due to the current congestion issues on the Endwalker server, we will be providing all players with an additional two weeks of game time. This should help to improve the overall gameplay experience for all players on that server.”
The congestion issues on the Endwalker server have been causing long wait times for dungeon queues, as well as problems with registering for instanced raids. Free game time is hoped to alleviate these issues. In addition to the free game time, Square Enix has also announced that it will be increasing the capacity of the Endwalker server in order to help with the congestion.
The company has not yet given a specific date for when these changes will go into effect, but they are expected to happen very soon. Players who are currently subscribed to the game are able to claim the free game time directly from the Mog Station. All other players can log in during the weekends of December 6-7 and 13-14th to claim their free subscription time.
